Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The group that organized January’s Women’s March on Washington says it is behind plans for a general strike today. Strike4Democracy says it kicked off the idea of general strikes across the country to tie in with Thursday’s “Day Without an Immigrant” protests, but the idea took off on its own, and no longer has a central leader. Strike4Democracy refers to today’s events as the “national day of action to push back against assaults on democratic principles.” It predicts there will be hundreds of actions, including one in Plano’s Haggard Park.
