Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The American Lung Association is hosting a Saturday morning stair climb at Dallas’ Renaissance Tower. Beginning at 8:00 AM hundreds will be climbing the 1,020 steps inside the tower in a fund raising campaign that organizers insist is “a lot of fun.” The climbers include teams of firefighters who will make the vertical journey in full firefighters’ gear: 45 pounds of helmet, hood, pants, coat, gloves, boots and air pack. The Lung Association hopes to raise $50,000 to $55,000 for the battles against asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and lung cancer.
