DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — A Dallas apartment complex that caught fire over the weekend had another flare-up early Wednesday morning.
The Preston Place Condominiums burned last Friday night to a 7-alarm fire and took nearly two days to fully extinguish. It displaced around 100 residents and left an elderly woman dead. A small fire broke out again Wednesday morning on the third floor, but was put out in about an hour.
Dallas fire officials say because of the size of the original fire, flare-ups are relatively common given the amount of burnt debris left on site.
Because of that and the nature of the first fire, the department is monitoring the building around the clock.
