T-Mobile Comes to Dallas to Help Fix 911 Problems with Service

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – T-Mobile executives say they will stay in Dallas for as long as it takes to fix the problem with 911 phone calls.

Since late last year, hundreds of customers have been placed on hold when they called for emergency services.

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings says the city is investigating claims the problem with the system led to the death of a six month old baby over the weekend.

“When we send police out, when we send our firefighters out, we want to make sure, ‘Are our citizens safe,'” said Rawlings.

Although he was not in office when the problem started, Dallas City Manager T. C. Broadnax says he takes full responsibility for the problem.
