Arlington Police Searching for Man Accused of Photographing, Fondling Children

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Arlington Police Department is asking the public to help them find an older man who has been accused of inappropriate behavior with children and is facing charges of indecency with a child.

Sergeant Vanessa Harrison said over the past three months, three separate incidents were reported in the 1400 block of Timberlake Drive and the 2200 block of Springcrest Drive.

She said children told investigators that the man allegedly took pictures of them, made suggestive comments and touched a girl inappropriately over the clothes as she played in the courtyard of an apartment complex. The girl he’s accused of touching is under 10 years old.

“It’s very important that we locate this guy and talk to him to find out if he’s speaking with them, if he’s inappropriate with them and find out if he’s going to the extent of recording them and touching them. That is definitely a concern for us,” she said.

Harrison said the department doesn’t want parents to be alarmed but wants to urge parents to make sure that their kids are well informed.

“Talk to them about how to recognize when a person is inappropriate with them either in conversations or if the person gets close enough to touch them. If these things do occur, be sure to report it to police so we can find out who this person is and talk to them right away,” she said.

The man is white, in his mid fifties or sixties, has short white hair, facial hair and a birthmark on the left side of his face. Harrison said he walks with a limp and drives an older-model green van.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Allan Branch at the Arlington Police Department at 817-795-9992, ext. 115.
