FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) – A driver who stopped to help after witnessing a car crash in Frisco was killed Monday night.
The Texas Department of Public Safety’s Lonny Haschel said the victim was driving along the Dallas North Tollway near the Sam Rayburn Tollway overpass around 10:30 p.m. and spotted a black Kia SUV that had crashed.
Haschel said the Kia was traveling north on the tollway and hit the right concrete barrier just north of the Sam Rayburn Tollway.
After hitting the barrier, the SUV spun out across the highway, hit the center median and came to rest in the left lane.
The driver of a black Land Rover SUV stopped on the right shoulder and got out to help.
“The driver of the Land Rover was struck by a Chevrolet Camaro that was traveling North…he died at the scene,” said Haschel.
The drivers of the Camaro and Kia were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash. The identity of the victim has not been released.
