Dallas – Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The National Weather Service survey of storm damage confirms two tornadoes struck the metroplex during the storms early Wednesday morning. An EF-1 tornado touched down in Lewisville near Fox Avenue and Boxwood Drive, then moved to the northeast. It damaged at least a dozen homes.
An EF-0 tornado affected Wautauga and Keller, touching down along Western Center Boulevard a little west of I-35W. It moved to the northeast across Wautauga and Keller, and lifted shortly after it reached the west side of Southlake.
There was also a lot of wind damage in Rockwall.. primarily near the intersection of FM 1141 and FM 552. That damage, however, was determined to have been caused by straight line winds.
