DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas police are investigating the officer-involved shooting of an armed burglary suspect Wednesday morning.
It happened at the Golden Chick restaurant along Northwest Highway and Webb Chapel near Love Field.
Officers arrived at the scene around 4:45 a.m., in response to a woman who called police on herself after she broke into the restaurant.
Investigators said when police attempted to arrest the woman, she resisted. They said an officer used a tazer in an attempt to subdue the woman.
Investigators said the woman allegedly raised a knife and came at the officers in a threatening manner, resulting in one of the officers opening fire.
The woman was taken to Parkland Memorial hospital and her condition is unknown. No officers were injured.
