DALLAS, Texas (WBAP/KLIF News) — Former TCU star quarterback Trevone Boykin, now a backup quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, was arrested in Dallas Thursday for a possible violation of his parole.

The arrest stemmed from a car crash March 27 in which Boykin was a passenger. The woman driving the car was charged with DUI after crashing into a bar injuring several people. Boykin was arrested for public intoxication and marijuana possession, both misdemeanors.

Thursday he was rearrested for violating his probation sentence of June 2016 following a fight he had with police a year earlier. Prior to that incident Boykin had a squeaky clean image.

Experts say the legal charges aren’t a big deal but it remains to be seen what the reaction will be from the NFL and the Seahawks.

Boykin’s arraignment is set for May 3.
