Fort Worth Police Accuse Teen of Burning 10-Year-Old Relative

FORT WORTH  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Fort Worth police are investigating the possible intentional burning of a child.

The incident occurred last Saturday in the 3100 block of Proctor Road near the Handley neighborhood.

Investigators said a 14-year-old boy allegedly severely burned a 10-year-old relative by pouring hot water on him.

They also said they believe that another teenager may have recorded the incident on a cell phone.

Police said the victim was hospitalized with burns to his feet and buttocks.

He was taken into protective custody and released to a family member.

So far, there have been no arrests. Investigators said the 14-year-old is facing a charge of aggravated assault.
