DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A suspect is in the hospital after he was shot by police following a high-speed chase in a stolen bait pickup truck.
It started Monday around 2:00 a.m. in Deep Ellum and ended near Fair Park.
Investigators said the suspect allegedly rammed the silver Chevy Silverado through a Fair Park gate near Martin Luther King Boulevard.
He then hit a security guard’s car, did some donuts and sped through the parking lot before he eventually came to a stop.
That’s when one of the officers opened fire. It’s not clear what happened moments before the shooting. The suspect’s condition is unknown and no officers were injured.
