DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly showed up to the Dallas Police Department’s Southwest Patrol Division and made threats against officers.
Sargeant Warren Mitchell said the suspect, a Hispanic man in his mid twenties, was driving a black Dodge Durango and was immediately stopped at the front entrance by officers assigned to guard the facility.
He said after the suspect started asking questions and making statements, he was taken into custody for a mental health evaluation.
The suspect allegedly admitted to having weapons in his car after his arrest.
When officers searched his car, they found two 9mm handguns, an Anonymous-style mask and marijuana.
Mitchell said charges are pending.
