Rowlett (WBAP/KLIF News) – A threat was reported at Rowlett High School Thursday morning, leading to the removal of a student.
Rowlett High School, near I-30 and Bush Turnpike, is part of the Garland Independent School District. The district says its security was working with Rowlett police on the investigation.
“The safety and security of all Garland ISD students and staff is our top priority,” the district wrote in a statement. “Whenever an issue is reported to us, we take it very seriously.”
Garland ISD says security protocols were put into place. The district says the student was identified and removed from campus.
The school opened on schedule; classes were not affected.
