Texas pipeline company spills in Ohio

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners, the company that built the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline across North and South Dakota is facing another controversy for spilling drilling fluids while building a pipeline in Ohio. It spilled drilling mud and underground cuttings into two Ohio wetlands on April 13 and 14. Energy Transfer Partners says the spilled materials are non-toxic, naturally occurring materials, and pose no danger to anyone or anything. However, the Environmental Protection Agency disagrees, saying the materials could change water chemistry, and possibly suffocate small wildlife.
