DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas paramedic who was shot last week is improving but still hospitalized.
Dallas Fire Rescue says William An is no longer considered to be in critical condition. He remains in stable condition while he makes progress over a week after he was shot in East Dallas.
An even offered words of encouragement to the department, according to a statement, thanking colleagues for support and even telling them to keep doing what they do.
An was attempting to treat a shooting victim last Monday when the suspect opened fire on him.
A police officer is credited with saving An’s life by getting him out of the scene and rushing him to Baylor Hospital.
An’s family says they appreciate the continued prayers.
