(WBAP/KLIF News) — Toyota is recalling close to a quarter-million pickup trucks due to a possible defect that could lead to oil leaks and increase the possibility of a crash.
The Japanese automaker announced that it would recall about 250,000 units worldwide of its 2016-2017 Tacoma and about 228,000 in the U.S. In a statement released by Toyota, the automaker claims that the truck “could seize, resulting in a loss of control of the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.”
The company did not make it clear if there had been any injures or crashes associated with the defect.
