The Small Business Administration is offering disaster assistance to Texas businesses and residents affected by the severe storms and tornadoes that hit Van Zandt County in April.
According to the SBA, low-interest federal disaster loans are available to businesses and residents affected by the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred April 29, 2017. U.S. Small Business Administration’s Administrator Linda McMahon said the SBA acted under its own authority to declare a disaster in response to a request SBA received from Governor Greg Abbott on May 10.
“Depending on the financial circumstance of the individual the repayment is customized to their financial circumstances,” said Susheel Kumar. “No fees or closing costs. In other words, no obligation to borrow.”
The deadline to apply for a loan is July 10, 2017. Applications can be submitted by mail, online, or in person at the Farm Bureau Building in Canton.
