Developers in Fort Worth Hope to Keep Popular West 7th Area Growing

FORT WORTH  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Developers in Fort Worth are giving a new name to part of the West Seventh development.

They’re planning to rename the area “Crockett Row at West Seventh.

Christina Goodwin said developers are planning more open space with shade and outdoor furniture.

“We want to create a place for people to feel like they could come, they could eat and they could relax. We want to create a sense of community,” she said.

Goodwin said developers decided more open space was necessary so patrons don’t feel rushed.

“We really want to be able to help the space be as inviting and welcome. Make the streets feel a little more open just so there isn’t as much as sense of business,” she said.

They’re also working with the Fort Worth convention and visitors bureau to set up local film and art festivals.

Last year, the area drew 1.3 million visitors.
