Austin (WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas Senate has passed a bill that would impose a statewide ban on texting while driving. The state House has already passed a similar, but slightly different version, so a conference committee will combine the two into a version acceptable to both sides of the legislature. Once that is passed the measure will go to Governor Abbott for his signature.
