Irving Police Arrest Suspect for the Murder of Teen Killed Hours After Graduation

Irving Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a recent high school graduate.

According to the Irving Police Department, 18-year-old Ledajrick Cox was shot and killed Sunday morning after he and his friends left a 7-Eleven store following an argument with another group of teenagers.

Police say media coverage led to the arrest of 17-year-old Jeremiah Robinson. He’s being held on a murder charge in the Irving jail.

The department’s James McLelland said there could be more arrests.

“Our first priority is to deal with the gunman and what he did. Then, the later stages of the investigation in the coming days will deal with the other two occupants of the car to see if criminal charges are appropriate for any of them,” he said.
