DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) -A 10-year old girl from Texas drowns in the Red River in Southeastern Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the 10-year old girl was from Texarkana, and she was not wearing a life jacket while wading in the Red River about 6 p.m. Saturday.
A report indicates the child apparently slipped, went under water, and never resurfaced. Her body was found about three hours later more than 200 feet from where she disappeared.
The child’s name has not been released.
