PLANO (WBAP/KLIF) – Plano’s finest sported colorful lace bras and posed for pictures to promote the 5th annual Battle of the Bras gala scheduled for later this year.
Fire Chief Sam Greif says the event benefits the Women’s Rock Foundation which raises funds for local breast cancer survivors.
“All the proceeds are going to women locally who are going through the journey,” Chief Greif said. “And this is everything from helping with medical tests and medical bills, even groceries or paying rent.”
Close to 20 Plano Firefighters will strut their stuff at the gala.
“I asked if they would come on board and help me with this,” said Grief. “And they’re going to take it to level that I could never dream of. It’s a great event and another example of Plano Firefighters stepping up.”
The gala will be held October 25, at the Marriott Shops of Legacy in Plano.
