Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A group of critically ill babies from Corpus Christi are being cared for at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. They were flown in on the hospital’s medical jets Thursday night from Corpus Christi ahead of Hurricane Harvey, and are now housed in Cook Children’s intensive care unit. Hospital officials in Corpus Christi were worried that a disruption of electricity caused by the storm would put the babies’ lives at risk by shutting down the medical equipment needed to keep them alive.
