Power Crews Ready to Lend a Hand

DALLAS(WBAP/KLIF News)- For the second time this month, Oncor Power crews will be traveling to help restore power to hurricane affected cities and towns. With Hurricane Irma bearing down on the panhandle state,  Florida Power and Light has requested help from the Dallas-based utility.

“Electricity is a lifeline and we want to make sure that we lend our efforts and expertise to assist first responders and make areas safe where they can go in and make rescues if needed,” according to Oncor Power’s Kris Spears.

Spears expects a convoy of employees and trucks to hit the road Sunday morning as Hurricane Irma makes landfall. In the meantime, Oncor employees continue to help restore power in Southeast Texas after Hurricane Harvey.
