Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas City Council agreed Wednesday to spend nearly $2 million improving security at the Police Department’s headquarters. It did so more than two years after the lobby was shot up by a man firing at officer’s through the building’s windows. The project will be funded with unspent money leftover from 1998 and 2006 bond packages. Construction will begin next month. The appropriation does not include money for security upgrades at the Police Department’s substations.
