Waxahachie (WBAP/KLIF) – An admitted child predator has been sentenced to five life terms in prison. 58 year old Dennis Avery pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting five children over a two-year period. The children were all under the age of 6, and all were enrolled in his wife’s home-based day care. The sentences are to be served consecutively, which means when Avery finishes serving the first life sentence he can begin serving the second, and so on. It’s the legal way of saying he can never be released, and must remain in prison until he dies.
