Josephine (WBAP/KLIF) – An angry man with an assault rifle was shot Thursday in the small Collin County town of Josephine. Town officials were warned about mid-afternoon that a man who had been involved in a disturbance at Josephine’s town hall earlier in the week was on his way back with a gun. The police chief and one of the town’s officers were waiting for him when he arrived. They say he bolted out of his pickup with an assault rifle in his hands, refused to put it down, and was shot. At last report the wounded would-be gunman is hospitalized in serious condition. No one else was hurt.
