DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Fort Worth native Tianti Carter is a 21-year-old cowgirl with a passion for animals and a goal of winning the Miss Rodeo America belt buckle.
Carter won the Miss Rodeo Texas pageant in San Antonio last June and is preparing for the national competition in Las Vegas in December.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Carter, a Texas A&M graduate, former Miss Texas High School and Miss Rodeo Austin, is an avid breakaway roper and barrel racer. She recently spent time in Thailand working with veterinarians to save rescued elephants.
If she wins the state title Carter will travel the country promoting the sport of rodeo as she is currently doing across Texas. She also volunteers for groups including the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and the Autism Speaks Foundation.
