Senate Could Hold Hearings in Wake of Las Vegas Shooting

(WBAP/KLIF) – The U.S. Senate could hold hearings looking into what, if anything, should be changed in wake of the Las Vegas mass shooting.

Senator John Cornyn says for the most part he doesn’t see any possible law preventing what happened.

“Sadly, I find myself in the same posture as the Sheriff of Clark County in Las Vegas who said that he knows of nothing that could prevent something like this,” Cornyn said during a conference call with reporters Wednesday.

The Republican from Texas though thinks there should be discussions on the so-called bump-stock that is believed to have been used by the gunman to make semi-automatic weapons work like a fully automatic weapon.
