DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Hurricane Harvey survivors who need more time to find housing are getting an extension to their temporary hotel stays.
Fema says the Transitional Sheltering Assistance Program, pays for short-term hotel stays, and has been extended by fourteen days. That extension will allow some survivors until October 24th, to look for another place to live.
Those already in the program will be advised on what they need to do to stay where they are, or if they need to find a new hotel. Fema pays for the hotel room. Meals and transportation are the responsibility of the room occupants.
