DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — President Trump has weighed in on Jerry Jones’ recent comments about Dallas Cowboys kneeling during the national anthem.
The President tweeted he was giving Jones a “big salute” for his comments on Sunday about benching players who decide to take a knee while the anthem is played.
A big salute to Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who will BENCH players who disrespect our Flag."Stand for Anthem or sit for game!"

Jones said he does not want the NFL sending a message that they condone disrespecting the flag.
President Trump closed his tweet with the phrase “Stand for Anthem or sit for game!” He originally tweeted mixed reviews to the Cowboys’ owner two weeks ago when the team took a knee before the anthem. The President called that gesture “big progress.”
But while Dallas dropped to its knees as a team, they all stood up for our National Anthem. Big progress being made-we all love our country!
