Dallas Holiday Parade May Cancel Due to Money Woes

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – This year’s 30th annual Dallas Holiday Parade may not happen, as organizers struggle to get sponsors. Past parades had been covered by Children’s Health in Dallas, but the hospital pulled out earlier this year.

Jeffery Giles, Executive Producer of the parade says his HTE Dance Academy has offered up $100,000 toward costs, but they still need some $374,000 by Monday. Gile said, “You know they used to call this parade the ‘Miracle on Commerce,’ and at this point right now, that’s what we’re hoping for.”Giles’ dancers have participated in the event for years.  Funds are needed by Monday.
