Troubling New Details About Former Balch Springs Cop

Tarrant County, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Newly released court records reveal a fierce description of Roy Oliver, the former Balch Springs officer who shot at a moving car filled with teens, killing one back in April.

The documents say Oliver “flipped off” the car after he fired the shots in which 13-year-old Jordan Edwards was killed. The documents also claim that Oliver posted swastikas in public places and was a member of the group called “Caucasians in Effect” during 8th grade, and that he “hated anyone who was not Caucasian.”

In July of 2011, records show that a pre-law enforcement psychological examination concluded that “his sense of entitlement may be so strong that the possibility of his behaving in an antisocial manner must be considered.”

Oliver was was charged with murder in Edwards death. No trial date has been set. Video released after the shooting revealed that Oliver falsified police reports about the incident.
