DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Cowboys Running Back Ezekiel Elliot has given up his fight with the NFL. He will serve the rest of his six game suspension.
Elliot’s agents say he has withdrawn his most recent appeal and won’t file any more. Elliot has been in and out of Federal court since before the season began disputing his suspension for violating the league’s domestic violence policy. Elliot was never criminally charged.
His attorney’s say his decision to serve the rest of his suspension is by no means a form of admission to any wrongdoing, but is in his best interest and the best interest of his teammates.
Elliot will return to the team on Christmas Eve, with two games left in the regular season.
