IRVING (WBAP/KLIF News) – Former Dallas Cowboys player Terry Glenn died a car crash in Irving Monday night.
The Irving Police Department said the single-vehicle accident occurred at 12:18 a.m. in the 700 block of SH 114.
Investigators said the 43-year-old’s car veered from the left lane it was traveling in and hit a concrete barrier that divides the tollway and the roadway.
Glenn was taken to Parkland Hospital where he later died of his injuries. A passenger in the car suffered only minor injuries.
Glenn played five seasons with the Cowboys between 2003 and 2007.
He’s most known in Dallas as following head coach Bill Parcells from his time in New England and playing second fiddle here to outspoken wide receiver Terrell Owens.
Glann had a couple of run-ins with the law. He was arrested in 2009 for drug possession and had been accused of assault.
Former Cowboys Quarterback Drew Bledsoe took to social media to express his sorrow.
Incredibly sad to hear about my buddy Terry Glenn. Overcame a ton of adversity to become an excellent person. May your soul rest in peace my friend. #riptg88
