North Texans Say Black Friday Deals Were Worth the Wait

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – North Texans packed area malls and department stories looking for the best ‘Black Friday’ deals after Thanksgiving.

Some shoppers hit the stores late Thursday night and others others, camped out early Friday morning until stores opened.

“I’ve been here since 4:30 in the morning,” said one shopper outside of a North Dallas Best Buy. “But we’ve just been sleeping.”

Once inside the stores, shoppers looked for the best deals and many got Christmas shopping out of the way early.

“They had a pretty good system and things ran pretty smoothly,” said one man about his Black Friday shopping experience.

The consensus was that despite lines and crowds, the deals made Black Friday Shopping well worth the trouble. People who chose to stay home or avoid shopping centers Friday will still have holiday deals available to them online with Cyber Monday quickly approaching.
