FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – A benefit concert Tuesday night in Fort Worth is expected to raise big money for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
Clint Black, Lyle Lovett, and Don Henley will all share one stage in a fundraiser organized by the North Texas Community Foundation. Rose Bradshaw, Executive Vice President of the foundation, said that the artists will together decide where the money is distributed in hurricane affected areas.
“So we’ll do some great research for them to talk about where their grants can be most impactful and then they will help us to direct those funds,” Bradshaw said.
State leaders don’t have an exact estimate of the storm’s damage to private property. But more than 18,000 families were still living in FEMA-paid hotel rooms as of earlier this month. Federal inspectors have visited more than 500,000 homes damaged by the hurricane.
The concert is expected to raise $1,000,000. Bradshaw said tickets for the event at Bass Hall range from $150 to $10,000.
