Dallas D-A drops domestic violence case against Johnny Manziel

DALLAS, TX (WBAP/KLIF NEWS) – The legal woes are over it seems for Johnny Football. The Dallas County District Attorney’s office has dismissed the domestic violence case against former pro and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel.

The charge stemmed from a January 2016 incident where Manziel’s former girlfriend accused him of physically assaulting her at an Uptown Dallas hotel.

The court said Manziel completed his anger management course and other requirements, including no contact with the ex-girlfriend, which allowed his case to be dismissed.

The Heisman Trophy winner was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.  He was released by the Browns in 2016 following the domestic violence incident and is currently not playing football.
