DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) -Cameras in fort Worth are catching thousands of drivers red handed, running stop lights.
Out of the 230,000 drivers caught driving through stop lights in fort worth during the last fiscal year, less than half are actually paying the $75 ticket.
Supporters say the cameras promote safety and produced 2.4 million dollars for the city.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports the non-payments were sent out for collections but the tickets are civil violations and will not be reported to a credit bureau, or show up on a driver’s record.
