DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A hunting and sportsmen expo in Downtown Dallas is aiming to raise big money for conservation.
The Dallas Safari Club is hosting its annual Legacy Convention and Sporting Expo at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center through Sunday. DCS officials expect between 30-40,000 people from all over the world to attend the event before it ends on Sunday. The Club’s goal is to raise as much money as possible for conservation projects around the world.
“From quail restoration projects to giant anti-poaching projects in Africa, and anything and everything in between,” said Dallas Safari Club Executive Director, Corey Mason.
The expo features opportunities for hunting trips, buying gear, or scoping out the newest equipment. It is expected to give a boost to the downtown Dallas economy with attendees lodging in area hotels and eating in local restaurants.
