Divorce Granted for Couple Jailed in Kaufman County Murders

(WBAP/KLIF) – A couple jailed for the 2013 murders of three people in Kaufman County is now divorced.

Kim-Lene Williams pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 40 years in jail while her then husband Eric Williams was sentenced to death row for the killings of Prosecutor Mark Hasse and then Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia. This week, a Kaufman County court approved the divorce.

It was 1996 that the couple vowed ’til death do us part’. More than 20 years later, three victims are buried and the Williams’ are both behind bars.
