DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Greek Goddess of Divine Law now sits atop a Central Texas Courthouse.
Cranes lifted the replacement statue more than 170 feet over the weekend. The new 18-foot Themis Goddess of Liberty, was set into place on Saturday at the McClennan County Courthouse, in Waco. The original zinc statue was removed last July for the stronger replacement figure made of cast aluminum.
Montgomery Construction won a more than $428,000 county contract to replace Themis. The duplicate was made by Robinson Iron in Alabama.
