Citizens Say Thank You on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Partnering organizations in support of law enforcement across the country are recognizing January 9th, as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

The organization, ‘Concerns of Police Survivors’ encouraged people to wear blue clothing or send a letter of support to their local police department.

This Dallas businessman said he’s thankful for the sacrifice officers make every day they put on their uniform.

“I mean they’re putting their life in harms way every day. I do appreciate it and I want to say thank you to them,” he said.

This resident said that law enforcement is a vital entity in any community.

“Of course, it’s a good profession. I think criminal justice is always been needed and always will be needed,” he said.

Several organizations also asked people to share positive stories about law enforcement on social media.
