DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The possibility of slick road conditions in North Texas has prompted treatment on area roadways.
Major roads and highways in Collin, Denton, and Dallas Counties are being treated with salt brine. TxDOT crews will be standing by in case more treatment is needed.
“All of our equipment has been mobilized in a way that we can quickly act and get out on the roads and start pre-treating,” said Ryan LaFontaine with TxDOT. “With the fact that temperatures are going to get close to freezing and a chance of precipitation we want to take every pre-caution necessary.”
Thursday’s forecast is calling for a a significant drop in temperatures and the slight chance of sleet and snow.
