Will El Paso Voters Get a Do-Over To Elect A District Judge?

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Incumbent Judge Luis Aguilar, El Paso, wanted his name off the ballot before last Tuesday’s vote.

Aguilar received 23 percent of the vote in the run for the the 243rd District Court Judge, putting him in second place. But before last Tuesday’s vote, he tried, unsuccessfully, to take his name off the ballot.

The El Paso Times reports Aguilar stopped Selena Solis from receiving more than 50% of the votes. And he has not announced whether or not he plans to withdraw from the runoff.

That means some voters in El Paso, may get a do-over to elect a District Judge.]
