Frisco (WBAP/KLIF) – Four Frisco firefighters and a Type III engine are heading to help fight wildfires in the Texas Panhandle. According to the the Texas A&M Forest Service the “294 Fire” which is burning in Armstrong and Donley counties has charred 11,000 acres and is 50% contained.
Frisco is part of the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System. The firefighters could be in the Panhandle for up to a 7 days.
