FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth has a new logo that features the historic Pioneer Tower.
Kirk Slaughter is the city’s public events director and said there’s a push to revitalize the tower and possibly light it up at night.
“If TCU wins a big football game or basketball game, baseball game we could go purple with the tower. If it’s the Fat Stock Show we can go with pink back lighting,” he said.
The tower is expected to bring a better sense of visual identity to the center which Slaughter said is growing in popularity each year.
“It’s a very busy campus. It’s one of the busiest public event venues in the world. We only have one dark day a year,” he said.
Slaughter said he still loves Fort Worth’s Molly Longhorn logo but believes the new design will increase the Will Rogers Memorial Center’s visibility even more.
