Carrollton, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Significant damage is being reported to cars and homes after a strong thunderstorm overnight.
The storm produced hail which measured up to grapefruit size in some parts of Carrollton, Arlington, Coppell and Las Colinas.
These Carrollton residents are waking up to some nasty hail damage. This is at the Flats Apts near Frankford and 35E. Check out the size of the hole…that is much bigger than a baseball. One resident says she’s lucky only her taillight was cracked. @WBAP247NEWS @570KLIF pic.twitter.com/SaSDQsz1ZS

Dallas, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Several parts of North Texas were damaged by as large as grapefruit-sized hail early this morning.
Many have posted photos of the hail on social media from as far as Little Elm to as far south as Arlington.
The extent visual damage so so far has been broken car window, cracked home windows and damage to lawn and furniture.
Some who took time to measure the hail, found pieces as large as 3 inches wide.
Many will also be dealing with roof damage.
