One of DFW’s biggest highway construction projects is entering its final stage

Irving (WBAP/KLIF) – According to TXDOT the 30 mile long “Midtown Express” construction project is now about 90% complete. That last 10%, however, will mean overnight and weekend lane closures through the summer. Most of the significant work will occur at the interchange where Highway 183 meets Texas 114, and Loop 12 crosses over both of them. The scale of the work to be done there will interrupt traffic flow on several occasions. Construction of the “Midtown Express” began in 2015. It should be finished this fall.
