Frisco (WBAP/KLIF) – The criminal prosecution of Frisco-based Novus Health Services is moving into high gear with another of the defendants accepting a plea bargain with prosecutors. Hospice nurse Taryn Stuart has agreed to plead guilty to one count of health care fraud while admitting she fatally over-dosed at least two patients at the direction of Novus’ C.E.O. Bradley Harris. Stuart says Harris wanted her to speed up their deaths so Novus could make more money. Stuart is the third of 16 defendants to agree to testify for the prosecution as the federal government pursues multiple criminal charges against Harris, and his wife Amy. They owned and ran Novus Health Services. The Harrises face federal charges of fraudulently billing Medicare and Medicaid out of more than $60 million.
